4 Strand Waterfall Half Up Hairstyles

Hey everyone, I’m Jordan from Braids By Jordan, and today I’m going to be showing how to do a four-strand waterfall braid. If you have not already comment to Hairstyles, then make sure to hit the comment button and give this post a big thumbs up. So, let’s get to the hairstyle. Take a section of hair from the front of the head and divide it into four equal pieces. Then, we are going to label the strands one through four, one being the highest strand. Take strand one under strand two and over strand three, then take strand four over strand three and under strand two. Then, we are going to repeat that, but this time we are gonna add in a small section of new hair to strand one, then cross it under strand two and over strand three. Then, we are gonna add in hair to strand four and cross it over strand three and under strand two. Then, repeat again with strand one, so add in new hair, take it under strand two and over strand three. This time, we are gonna drop strand four and we are gonna take a new section of hair to replace it.

And then, you are gonna take the new strand four over strand three and under strand two. And you are going to repeat those steps towards the back of the head, so take strand one with the new section of hair under strand two and over strand three. Drop strand four, take a new section of hair to replace it, and then cross it over strand three and under strand two. Once you have reached the other side of the head, stop waterfalling and adding in new hair and continue a new regular braid for a few extra stitches to keep it secure. Then, secure the braid as close to the head as possible with a clear baby elastic. Then, I went back and pancaked the braid by pulling gently on the edges to give the braid more volume. Then, to cover up the elastic, take a section of hair from the front of the head on the opposite side of the braid and twist it towards the back of the head. And you can use either bobby pins or a pretty clip, like I am, to secure the twist and cover the elastic. And that’s it.
