A baby’s Nose

A babys Nose

A babys nose is usually flattened at the bridge and the sense of smell is not fully developed. Young babies sneeze a lot but this does not mean they have a cold; it is a way of clearing the nose of mucus. Babies breathe through the nose which makes for noisy snuffly sounds if the nostrils are not clear. Do not use cotton buds to clear your babys nostrils; roll a small piece of cotton wool into a thin twist and gently remove any mucus at the outer edge of the nostril.
