Beautiful Double Dutch Fishtails DIY Hair Tutorials

Hey everyone. I’m Jordan from Braids by Jordan. Today I’m going to be showing you how to do double dutch braids into fishtails. If you have not already comment to Hairstyles, make sure to hit the comment button and give this post a big thumbs up. So let’s get started. Start off by sectioning your hair into two. I like to start my part just off to one side and then angle it back down the center. Take one of the sections and secure it out of the way. Take a section of hair from the front of the head and divide it into three equal pieces. And now we are going to start a dutch braid so take the back piece and cross it underneath into the middle and then take the front piece and cross it underneath into the middle. Then again take the back piece but this time we are gonna add in a small new section of hair. So take those pieces and cross them underneath and then repeat with the front piece. So add in a small new section and then cross them both underneath into the middle and then just repeat those steps until you run out of hair to add in. Once you have run out of hair to add in, secure the braid with an elastic. And then I went back and carefully pulled on the edges of my braid to give it a little more volume and then I decided to go back and hair wrap my elastic. So to do that put your fingers back up through the elastic and take a small piece of hair from the ponytail.

Wrap that piece around the elastic a couple times and then pull it back down through the elastic and then repeat those steps on the other side. Now we are going to do the fishtails. So take one of the ponytails and split it into two. Take a small section of hair from the outside of the left piece and cross it over and add it to the inside of the right piece. Then take a small section of hair from the outside of the right piece and cross it over and add it to the inside of the left piece and then just repeat those steps all the way down until you run out of hair to braid. If you need to you can carefully pull the braid to the side and continue there. Every so often I went back and pulled on my braid just a little bit to give it some more volume. At the end of the hair secure the braid with a clear baby elastic then repeat on the other side and that’s it.
