These small shops are packed with athletic shoe bargains. All of these, mostly by Hyde and Saucony, are irregulars, but most of them look just fine to Mr. C. In some cases, only certain sizes are available. Recently, for example, a man with a size nine foot could have stolen bases in a pair of cleats that were a steal themselves at $10.
Other lines are more flexible, and there are many kinds of shoes to see aerobics, tennis, basketball, running for men and women. Men’s Saucony V-Grid running shoes were marked down from $110 to $70. Women’s Jazz 5000, good for daily mileage training, were reduced from $64 to $50.
A special sale wall always features closeouts for $19.88. The Hyde Outlet also has a variety of running clothes and other accessories at slight discounts. The shoes are not guaranteed, and sales are final, except for exchanges in size. Closed Sundays.
