Butter, Sugar, and Strawberry Sandwiches


2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled)

1/3 cup + 2 tbsp. sugar 4 tbsp. unsalted butter (room temp.)

4 slices firm but fresh sandwich/brioche/baguette

Slice them strawberries crosswise, then place them in a bowl, sprinkling the sugar (1/3) onto it. Butter the bread slices, then slice them in half; sprinkle the remaining sugar onto that. After all that, present the dish with the berries on top of the bread.

Note: You can adjust the sugar usage in this recipe according to how much sweetness you do want.
