The first thing we decided on was our venue – Marcos and I fell in love with it immediately. he friend who owns it said (before we were even engaged) that we could hold our big day there if we ever married – so we took her up on her ofer! I walked down the aisle to Like Real People Do by Hozier. Music is important to us both, and it was nice to pick a song our friends and family would associate with us. It was also our irst dance tune.

We held our reception on the estate’s large lawn, which is surrounded by 12 huge oak trees. Our tables were made from Tuscan wood and decorated with dozens of candles, seasonal fruits, lowers in bud vases and linen hemstitch runners – we had a simple, organic vibe in mind. I’m a wedding planner and so I didn’t delegate any tasks out. I simply dived in head irst, creating my own details. Marcos kept the inancial side of things (and me) in check. It was great inding out how in balance we were.

The guests loved our food – but, like many brides, I was so busy during the day I didn’t get a chance to eat much. Luckily the caterers had thought ahead. BESPOKE COTTON BAGS KEPT THE WEDDING RINGS SAFE UNTIL THE CEREMONY. THE BRIDE DESIGNED A DECORATIVE VERSION OF THE COUPLE’S WEDDING CERTIFICATE.
