Cooking Time: about 5 minutes You will need for 4 servings: 3 tablespoons 1 tablespoon made redcurrant jelly mustard few olives 1 gherkin

1 Heat the jelly in a small pan.

2 Add the mustard and mix well.

3 Add the olives, sliced thinly and the gherkin finely chopped.

Fried steak and onions

Cooking Time: 20 minutes You will need for 4 servings: 3-4 onions 11 lb. rump steak 2 oz. dripping salt and pepper

1 Peel onions and slice into rings a good 1 inch thick.

2 Heat dripping and fry onions over a gentle heat until dark golden brown, turning frequently while cooking.

3 Remove from the pan, drain on crushed kitchen paper and keep hot.

4 Prepare steak as for grilled steak. Fry for 10-15 minutes turning the steak when browned on the first side.

5 Serve steaks on a hot plate with onions piled on top.
