This is a simple way of cooking halibut steaks. The Cajun flavor mixes well with the fish. It is a sumptuous treat for dinner. This recipe serves two.
• 2 halibut steaks
• 1/8 teaspoon each of ground red pepper, ground black pepper, garlic powder, paprika and salt Method:
1. Combine the seasonings in a small bowl.
2. Rub both sides of halibut steaks with the seasoning mixture.
3. Place a non-stick skillet over a medium heat.
4. Apply cooking spray, then add fish.
5. Cook each side of the halibut for 4 minutes or until cooked through. Serve immediately.

Don’t wait until someone asks you how you are doing. Take the initiative to talk about your feelings and ask for the support you need. I didn’t say anything at the time, as I was afraid it would impact my care. But being a nurse, I now look back on my experience with a different perspective. My time on bed rest and having a daughter in the NICU changed my approach to my career. It has made me a better nurse and a better leader. I transitioned into management as I had lived the experience and had a fuller appreciation of the perspective of a patient.
