Hey everyone, I’m Jordan from Braids by Jordan. And today I’m gonna be showing you how to do a double French braid updo. If you have not already comment to Cute Girls Hairstyle, make sure to hit the comment button and give this post a big thumbs up. So, let’s get started. Start off by parting the hair down the center of the head. I like to start mine slightly to one side and then angle it towards the middle. Take one of the sections and secure it into a ponytail to keep it out of the way. And then with the remaining hair, I went through and added some dry shampoo to my hair to give it more volume. Take a section of hair from the front of the head and divide it into three equal pieces.

Take the top piece and cross it over into the middle, and then take the bottom piece and cross it over into the middle, and then take the top piece, but this time we are gonna add in a small section of new hair. Then cross it over into the middle. And then repeat with the bottom, so add in a small section of hair to the bottom piece and cross it over into the middle. Then repeat those steps and continue the braid down the back of the head. Every so often, go back and pancake the braid by pulling gently on the edges to give the braid more volume. Once the braid is in line with about the bottom of the ear, stop adding in new hair and continue a regular braid for a few extra stitches to keep it secure. And take the remaining hair and secure it into a ponytail with the rest of the French braid. And you can go back and adjust the braid if needed. Then repeat on the other side. Then take one of the ponytails and back comb it slightly to give it more volume.
Take a second smaller elastic and wrap it around the ponytail. On the last wrap, only pull the hair about less than halfway through to create a loop. Then pin the loop up to give it a half bun shape. Then put your fingers back up through the little elastic and tuck in the remaining hair. Adjust it so that it is about the same size as the top loop and tuck in any remaining pieces of hair. End the bottom loop to blend it with the top loop and adjust any pieces if necessary. Then repeat with the second ponytail. And that’s it.
