Eyeshadow Palettes & Eyeshadow Sets

Hey guys! It’s Mi-Anne and this is Beauty With Mi. Today I’m very excited because I have three brand new holiday eye shadow palettes that I have never used before. But I’m going to do a look with each that hopefully you guys can use this holiday season. So first up, I have the new Too Faced Boss Lady Beauty Agenda, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette. I’m very excited about this one. The Fenty Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette. I think I’m going to dive into the Too Faced palette first, seeing as it is the most holiday themed. Too Faced does holiday really well. They always do the cutest things. They’ll make carousels or advent calendars. This one is an agenda. So cute! It says, “Don’t let today be a waste of makeup.” Wise words to live by. This is $58.

And you get like a literal agenda. Oh! It has a little mirror in it! How perfect is that? So all of the shades in this palette are kind of holiday themed. There’s Unwrap Me, like a present. Love, Actually, my favorite holiday movie. Pinecone, Jolly, Fa La La La La. I’m gonna go for a colorful, party look with this one. I’m gonna start with a little bit of transition color in my crease. I’m gonna use this Spiked Cider shade. I’m gonna go in with a little halo all over the lid. This would be a very nice, everyday two shadow look, if you wanted to stop here. But I won’t. This is the kind of palette that, although really pretty, it’s very confusing. There’s so much going on, you really have to think about how you’re going to use the colors. Like I wanna use this color. But I’m like how am I going to use it? Am I gonna put it all over my lid? This pinky-purple shade actually reminds me of the palettes I used in my last eyeshadow post. Which if you haven’t seen, you should click right here.

I’m gonna put it in the crease, just to start. I think I wanna go all over the lid with this. It’s so pretty. I’m gonna go in with my finger because I really want that duochrome finish to come across. I think I’m gonna go in with Plum Pudding on the outer corner of my eyes. So I’m gonna go in with Pinecone in the crease too just to deepen it up even further than I did with Plum Pudding. And then I’m gonna use a pencil brush to kind of like smudge my top lash line and my bottom lash line. I’m gonna stop here, because it’s getting pretty dramatic. But I’m gonna put a little of this iced out shade on the center of my eyelid. Alright, I’m stopping. Just for the sake of using the palette, I think I’m gonna use the bronzer. Just a little bit. I’m gonna go in with a little bit of the blush which is Will You Merry Me? Clever. Although I’m wearing a lot of highlighter right now, I’m gonna do more highlighter because you can never have too much highlighter. So what the palette also comes with is two little minis of the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. Which is an amazing mascara.

It has a giant wand like this. And it also comes with this nice nude liquid lipstick. It’s matte. I really, really like this formula. This is the shade “Sellout.” Overall, I think this palette is a really good value for the money. So I said it was $58. You get the entire palette with the cheek shades. And you also get the mini lipstick and the mini-mascara. Which is kind of your entire, like color cosmetics done apart from your base. It has beautiful colors. I do think that the fallout was a bit of an issue, but overall I think that it’s a good palette for anyone who’s looking for anything new and likes colors. I’m excited to try the next palette which is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism palette. It looks like this. Oh! I’m gonna take off this purple smokey eye situation. So this palette retails for $42.

It comes with a nice, smaller shader brush and a fluffy eye shadow brush. I think I’m do a halo eye with this color Throne. And this shade Pyramid. I’m gonna start with a crease color. I think I’m gonna go in with a little bit of Saturn. I’m gonna lay down the Throne on the outer and inner corners of my eyes. I’m gonna use this gold shade Pyramid in the center of my lid. And I’m gonna bring Throne over the gold shade just to finish it off and make it look very seamless. Then I’m gonna go in with the same tri-color situation on the bottom lash line. So this is the look done. The shadows themselves are really beautiful. They’re so pigmented. And they’re very easy to control. So I’m gonna take off this eye look. Sad. And move on to the next palette.

It’s the Fenty Galaxy Palette. It is in this beautiful oil slick-style package. Really wavy in feel. I’ve heard the palette is best used as topper, so there’s a lot of glitter in the palette. I think I wanna go for a little bit more of a natural eye because the other two were really intense. Because this palette is supposed to be used as a topper, I’m going to use a matte shade from one of my other palettes, all over my lid as a base first. I’m gonna go in with this bronzey-gold shade all over my lid. I’m thinking fingers are gonna be the best way to use this. I would honestly stop here and just blend it out for like a day-to-day look. But I wanna try more of the colors in this palette, so I’m going to use this shimmery brown shade in my crease. So I’m gonna use this gold, pink duochrome shade that looks like this. Very, very pretty. On the center of my lid, just to spice it up a little. It’s very glittery. Glittery in a way that like, is a little hard to control, to be honest. So dipping into the exact same gold, but with a damp brush, you’re able to get so much more even pigment.

Going in wet is probably the way to go. So I’m gonna define my crease again with the same Eden shade that I used as my base. And then I’m gonna try Wet, this pink shade. So, I’m gonna stop it there. I’m gonna keep it nice and bronzy. But I’m gonna go in with a little bit of black eyeliner. I have the cosmic gloss in Plutonic Relationship. It’s a pink gloss with blue shimmer running through it. I’m actually not even a gloss person. But If anyones gonna make me like gloss, it’s probably Rihanna. So this is the Fenty look, done. If you’ve seen one of my last posts where I tried the Fenty highlighters, you know that I already really love the brand. That being said, this is not a palette that I would recommend to the average makeup wearer. In terms of all three palettes, I think I’ll get the most use out of the Anastasia palette, but I wanna know what you guys think about the palettes in the comments below. Let me know which look was your favorite and I will catch you guys in the next post. Bye.
