Your Personal Emotional Tapping Technique for Effective Weight Loss and Appetite Control

Rather than simply focusing on losing weight, we need to find out where all the stress is coming from In EFT, we are encouraged to score the items that are making us angry, upset, afraid or just stressed and give a mark out of ten. The higher the score, the more upset you feel about the issue. A score of zero would mean that you felt nothing about the issue.

Once you have identified the area or issue that’s causing you the greatest amount of stress, you need to phrase how you feel in a simple statement. If work was the main source of tension, you could say, for example “Even though I hate my job and the constant pressure…, you then add the expression “I deeply and completely love and accept myself.

The first set of tapping is on the soft edge of the hand between the wrist and little finger. You can tap with two fingers of all your fingers and use whichever hand is most comfortable. It’s great to repeat your statement at least three times before moving on to the next tapping area. Tap with the fingertips of both hands gently on the top of your head. Keep tapping as you repeat your original statement.

There’s no limit to the number of taps or repetitions but be aware of any changes you might feel in relation to the stress source. Score the issue again. If it is the same as before, no problem.

Move onto the next area and keep tapping whilst you repeat the statement. Once you notice the score dropping below five, you can change your statement into a positive affirmation. “I’m feeling so much happier now that I can deal with work so much more positively”.

After tapping the crown of your head, you move to your temples, close to the outer edge of your eyes, tapping once again gently as you repeat your statement.
