My art is shown both locally and internationally. Overseas, I get support mostly from Belgium, Germany and America. Locally, it is private clients and organisations. I do not put a time frame when doing art – I sold a piece recently that I did in 1996; my work always comes from the heart and never with the notion that I need to sell it. I’m inspired by people, and translate and interpret them into my work.
Layered haircuts for long straight hair back view My paintings cost anything from R10 000 to one million, or even more, depending on the client. I have burnt myself many times with the heat gun I use to melt plastic. My hands have marks everywhere – the burning hurts, but it excites me as it reminds me to be conscious of my work at all times. When I started using plastic, I collected it from everywhere – the street, retail shops and garages.
