Amber Patterson, 27, married Jordan Landers, 26, at J&D Farms in Southside, Alabama, USA, on 24th October, 2015. She says:
Alabama in October is gorgeous! The season’s colours, food and flowers sold that time of year to us. Plus, we loved how, at J&D Farms, we could hold the ceremony and reception in the same place Our wedding was all about bringing friends and family together. As long as they enjoyed themselves, we were happy The colour palette came together on its own. I chose red velvet and emerald green dresses for my maids, then our florist suggested marsala red and blush tones for the floral arrangements, with pops of green and gold.
Rustic romance in Alabama Photo Gallery
An autumnal dream. We booked our photographer two years in advance. We knew as soon as we saw Ashley’s work that she had to capture our day. And we were right! We opted to have three cakes, one on top of the other: white chocolate, red velvet and carrot. Cece, our florist, then decorated them with olive branch, antique hydrangea and heart roses. The most memorable part of the day Reading our vows to each other. We wrote them ourselves, making the experience much more personal. It was unforgettable My top tip: The one thing you don’t want to regret is not having fun. So, slow down and enjoy your day. If you can say, ‘Wow that was fun!’, then you’ve succeeded!
