Spinach And Mushroom Savoury Recipe
Cooking Time: about 15 minutes You will need for 4 servings:
2 lb. spinach 4 oz. grated cheese
salt, pepper, nutmeg 1 tablespoon
8 oz. mushrooms breadcrumbs
1 pint basic white 1 oz. butter
1 Cook the spinach, drain thoroughly and then chop finely. continued
2 Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to the spinach and put it into a fireproof dish.
3 Slice the mushrooms thinly and place on top.
4 Make up the white sauce, add 3 oz. of the cheese and correct the seasoning.
5 Pour over the mushrooms, mix the remaining cheese and breadcrumbs together and sprinkle on top.
6 Dot with butter and put into a moderate oven (350°F – Gas Mark 4) for about 15 minutes.
