Steak Fondue Recipe
Cooking Time: about 20 minutes You will need for 4 servings:
11 lb. rump steak paprika pepper
4 oz. Lancashire or Cheddar cheese
3-4 tablespoons sherry salt mustard broccoli or mushrooms for serving
1 Prepare steak and grill or fry as described in previous recipes.
2 Meanwhile, heat cheese in a basin over a pan of hot water until the cheese has melted.
3 Gradually add the sherry, stirring throughout.
4 Season to taste with salt, pepper and mustard.
Scandinavian steakburgers
Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes You will need for 4 servings:
2 oz. butter 1 large packet
2 oz. Danish blue cheese

1 Cream the butter and blend with the cheese. Leave in a cool place until required.
2 Grill the steakburgers until tender.
3 Place on a hot dish and top each with a pat of the butter mixture.
4 Garnish with watercress and serve with French fried potatoes.
Beefburger special
Cooking Time: 20 minutes You will need for 4 servings:
1 lb. raw minced beef salt and pepper 2 oz. fresh 1 beaten egg breadcrumbs (4 flour heaped tablespoons) oil or fat for frying 1 medium-sized onion, 4 eggs finely chopped
2 teaspoons chopped parsley
1 Mix the beef, breadcrumbs, onion and parsley, adding a good pinch of salt and pepper.
2 Bind together with beaten egg.
3 Turn on to a floured surface. Divide mixture into 8 portions.
4 Form into 8 cakes using floured hands.
5 Fry in hot oil or fat until browned on both sides and cooked through – about 15 minutes. Remove on to a hot dish.
6 Fry the eggs.
7 Serve each two beefburgers with a fried egg, and accompanied by tomato sauce or sweet chutney.
