Steak Milano Recipe

Cooking Time: about 15 minutes (prepare the day before) You will need for 4 servings: 1 lb. rump steak, juice 1 lemon cut 1 inch thick salt and pepper

2 cloves garlic 1 large packet frozen

1 pint oil spinach

1 Trim steak, cutting off excess fat, if necessary.

2 Chop garlic finely and mix with oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper.

3 Allow the steaks to soak in this mixture for at least 12 hours.

4 Grill the steaks as described in Grilled steak, opposite. Serve with cooked spinach.

Steak royale

Cooking Time: 15 minutes You will need for 4 servings:

8 oz. button mushrooms

2 oz. butter

1 clove garlic 11 lb. rump steak cut

1 inch thick salt and pepper 2 tablespoons chopped parsley 1 carton cultured cream

1 Peel mushrooms if necessary, cook in melted butter over a gentle heat for 10 minutes, adding the garlic, finely chopped.

2 Brush steaks with a little melted butter and cook as described in the previous recipe.

3 Add the parsley to the mushrooms, cook for

2-3 minutes longer, stir in the cream.

4 Pour the mushroom mixture over the steak and serve accompanied by French bread and a green salad.
