Swiss Cheese Tart Recipe

Cooking Time: 25 minutes You will need for 4 servings:

4 oz. rough puff 1 pint thin cream or pastry or flaky pastry evaporated milk 4 oz. grated cheese

2 eggs

1 oz. butter salt and pepper

1 Roll the pastry thinly and use it to line a shallow fireproof dish. Decorate the edge as liked.

2 Beat the eggs, add the butter, cream, cheese and seasoning.

3 Pour into pastry case and bake in a moderately hot oven (375°F – Gas Mark 5).

Corn cheese bake

Cooking Time: 20 minutes You will need for 4 servings:

1 packet cheese sauce 3 spring onions,

1 pint milk chopped

4-oz. can prawns salt and pepper

16-oz. can cream 8 oz. Patna rice style corn

2 sticks celery, chopped

1 Make up the cheese sauce as directed on the packet, using 1 pint milk.

2 Stir most of the prawns into the sauce, reserving a few for garnish.

3 Add com, celery, onions and seasoning to taste. Heat through slowly for 10-15 minutes.

4 Cook the rice in boiling salted water until tender. Drain well.

5 Arrange the rice round the edge of a serving dish. Pour the sauce into the centre and garnish with remaining prawns.
