Tomato And Cheese Savoury Recipe
Cooking Time: about 30 minutes
You will need for 4 servings: 1 oz. butter cayenne pepper Joz. flour level teaspoon sugar 1 pint canned tomato 2 eggs juice 2 tablespoons grated salt and pepper cheese
1 Melt the butter, add the flour and mix well. Add tomato juice, stir until boiling and cook for 3 minutes stirring all the time.
2 Add seasonings and sugar.
3 Add egg yolks and cheese.
4 Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the mixture.
5 Pour into a greased fireproof dish and bake in a moderate oven (350°F – Gas Mark 4) for about 30 minutes.
Sweet corn souffle
Cooking Time: about 20 minutes You will need for 4 servings:
2 oz. butter 1 teaspoon sugar 1 green pepper, salt and pepper finely chopped 1 pint milk 1 small onion, 4 tablespoons water peeled and chopped 2 whole eggs 1 can creamed sweet 1 egg white corn
1 Melt the butter in a pan, add the pepper and onion and cook until soft but not brown.
2 Add the com, sugar and seasoning and mix well.
3 Add the milk and water, stir until boiling and cook for a few minutes.
4 Remove from the heat, beat in the egg yolks, then fold in the 3 stiffly beaten whites.
5 Put into a deep greased baking dish and bake in a hot oven (425°F – Gas Mark 7).
