Kilaas is not contagious and is not accompanied by any other symptoms unlike other skin related diseases.
There are many Ayurvedic medicines useful for treating Vitiligo. These include Arogya Vardhini, Trivanga Bhasma, Mahamanjishthadi Qadha, Khadirarishta, Krumikuthar Rasa, Krumimudgar Rasa, Saarivasav, Rasa Manikya.

Other medicines are as follows: Manjishtha [Rubia cordifolia], Saraiva [Hemidesmus indicus], Triphala [Three fruits], Haridra [Curcuma longa], Daruharidra [Berberis aristata], Khadir [Acacia catechu], Vidanga [Embilia ribes], and Bavasi [Psoralia corylifolia]
The most famous of these medicines is Bavachi. It is widely used in making Ayurvedic Vitiligo treatments. Bavachi is administered in oil or paste form, and the affected skin is left exposed to mild sunlight.
Other useful herbs in Ayurvedic treatments are Brahmi, Jatamansi, Vacha, Shankhpushpi, Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Yashtimadhuk.
